WooCommerce Development

A store is not a website with products on it. Two surfaces decide whether it sells: the product page, where the decision is made, and the checkout, where it is lost. Both ship with defaults that belong to the platform rather than to the business.

Who this is for

Store owners and agencies with a live WooCommerce store that needs to work better on the surfaces that matter.

Problems

What this actually solves.

Checkout friction
The default checkout carries fields, steps and layout decisions that belong to WooCommerce, not to this store. On mobile, that costs the most.
Product pages that do not sell
The product page is where the buying decision happens. Template and layout work there is not cosmetic.
Mobile treated as a narrower desktop
A checkout that works on a phone is a different layout, not a compressed one. Most store traffic is on a phone.
A store that got slow
Cart and account behaviour interacts badly with caching. Store speed is a WooCommerce-specific problem, not a generic WordPress one.
What’s included
  • WooCommerce checkout customization
  • Product page templates and layout
  • Mobile store UX
  • Payment method setup support, including Apple Pay
  • Store structure and category architecture
  • Cart and checkout performance
  • Caching behaviour around dynamic store pages
  • Arabic / RTL store interfaces
  • Technical review of an existing store
Approach

How the work runs.

  1. Walk the purchase path

Catalogue to order, on a phone, as a customer would — before touching a template.

  2. Fix structure before layout

Store structure and category hierarchy first, so the layout work has something stable underneath it.

  3. Customize rather than stack

Checkout and product templates customised with CSS and template work, rather than adding plugins to cover gaps.

  4. Verify payment behaviour

Payment methods checked on the devices that actually use them — Apple Pay is not verified on a desktop browser.

Quality

What “done well” means here.

Fewer decisions per step
Checkout work aims at reducing what the customer has to read, decide and re-enter before an order completes.
Caching that understands a store
Cart, account and checkout pages must not be cached like a brochure page. Getting this wrong produces the worst class of store bug.
No invented numbers
I do not publish conversion or revenue improvements for client stores. Where I have not measured something, I say what was done rather than what it achieved.
Questions

Questions people actually ask.

Can you customise the checkout without breaking updates?
That is the constraint the work is designed around. Customisation through template overrides and CSS, kept as close to WooCommerce's own structure as the design allows, so a core update does not undo it.
My store is slow. Is that a WooCommerce problem?
Usually it is several things interacting: hosting response, what is actually being cached, delivery, and the store's own configuration. The first job is to attribute the cause to a layer rather than guess. See the performance page.
Do you work on Arabic WooCommerce stores?
Yes. Arabic RTL is one of my stronger areas, and an Arabic store is a layout-direction problem as much as a translation problem.
Contact

Have a site or store that needs to work better?

Tell me what is happening and on which page. A diagnosis is a useful first deliverable on its own.

I read every message myself and reply within one working day — usually with a question or two before anything else, because a scope worth quoting needs them answered.
